MY Way

Post by Puca! » Fri Jan 05, 2018 9:03 pm

It appears this forum is dying. I would love to meet all current and former members in person. I'm almost always in the Downtown Boise YMCA at 6:30ish prior to the 7 am aquatic fitness classes Monday through Thursday. Most of us are seniors benefiting physical activity with low impact on our joints. On Friday's I'm in the deep end on my own. The Y will give free passes prior to joining. Ask the aquatic instructor if Kathi aka Puca is present.

Last Monday my favorite aquatic instructor gave me a fantastic compliment. "Looking good!" I held my left arm out of the water flexing muscles. "That's I'm seeing. Nice muscle tone." I'm 68 years old struggling for nice muscle tone in my low abdomen.

Confidence!

Last January I spent 8 hours in St. Luke's ER with severe imbalance. Very long story short, since last June I'm waltzing with a very cool candy apple red 4 wheel walker because I'm high risk for falling. Orthostatic Hypotension. Because I walk standing tall with confidence knowing I will not fall, I cannot get in and out of stores without folks stopping me. Is it because they see the horn I bought at Fred Meyers attached to my walker with humor?
